Taking its name from the 12c parish church of St Wynwallow, the most southerly church in mainland Britain, Wynwallow Cottage is a recently renovated thatched cottage with high quality and comfort in mind. The subtle nod to a nautical theme befits how close the cottage is to the picture perfect Church Cove, Lizard. Just moments away, you can watch the waves roll in and local fishermen landing the daily catch on the slipway. From here you can walk along the South West Coast Path for miles in either direction.
The cottage sits on the edge of Church Cove Farm where animals can often be seen lazing in the sunshine. Enter from the parking space into a small lawned garden with cobbled path and into the living area. The living and dining room has bags of character with lots of exposed timber, slate windowsills and a large fireplace that now hosts the woodburner. A dark wood floor, two sofas and a wall mounted Smart TV complete the living area whilst a circular oak dining table and four chairs with feature pendant light offer a cosy corner for dining.
An extension has made room for the ground floor bathroom and spacious kitchen. The kitchen features granite worktops, a butler sink and a range of appliances including; double oven with grill and 5-ring hob, under counter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle and a toaster. The bathroom is flooded with light from the skylight and has a freestanding bath, separate rainfall shower enclosure with mixer shower, a handbasin with vanity unit under, loo and heated towel rail. Both the kitchen and bathroom have decorative tiled floors. Double doors lead from the kitchen to the rear enclosed patio garden, perfect for an evening read.
Upstairs both bedrooms are off a landing, the main bedroom has a double oak bed, matching bedside tables with lamps and a clothes rail. Bedroom two has an oak single bed with storage drawers underneath, and hooks behind the door. Both rooms are carpeted and have a radiator. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests which includes infants.
Rental includes bedlinen, towels, WiFi, electricity and central heating. Please note that the cot provided is a Travel cot (linen not provided). Logs are not supplied but are available locally.
