The position of 'Col Ros' simply cannot be bettered. Up above Polurrian beach, in an acre of landscaped garden, with a footpath that leads directly to the sand. Views from nearly every window are filled with dramatic cliffs, the blue sea reaching past Mullion Island to the horizon. There is no passing traffic, the peace is interrupted only by the sound of the birds and the sea. The large patio with garden furniture lends itself perfectly to a morning cup of coffee with the newspaper - or a BBQ and bottle of wine as the sun goes down in front of you.

Mullion village is about a 20 minutes gentle walk away and has two restaurant pubs, a 'beach' shop, general store and a pharmacy. Polurrian beach is a short five minute walk down the path while a two minute car journey will bring you to Poldhu beach with its cafe and surf school (lifeguards during summer weeks).
The Lizard Peninsula is on your doorstep with its dramatic cliffs swooping suddenly down to traditional fishing coves like Cadgwith or to beautiful sandy beaches like Kynance Cove. The furthest southerly point at Lizard with famous lighthouse, pubs and cafes is just 10 minutes in the car.
From the parking area there is an external shower - perfect for washing the sand off before entering the house. The large breakfast kitchen is very well-equipped with integrated appliances including a fridge freezer, dishwasher and a range cooker that has a grill, two ovens and 6 ringed hobs with extractor over. The dining table will easily seat 10 and there are double doors from here to the patio.
The dual aspect lounge has fantastic views, window seating, comfortable sofas, LCD TV with freeview and DVD player, woodburning stove, and a further dining table for six. Double doors lead out to a sun room with extra seating to make the most of the fantastic views, which in turn leads out on to the patio.
Bedroom one on the groundfloor is a large double room with amazing sea views,6' super king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, dressing table and double wardrobe. Bedroom two also on the groundfloor has twin 3' single beds, bedside table and lamp, combi wardrobe, chest and vanity unit with handbasin.
Groundfloor bathroom with coloured suite, mixer shower over the bath, toilet and handbasin with shaver socket over. Additional separate toilet also on groundfloor along with a large utility room that houses the boiler, a sink, additional freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and hanging space for damp clothes etc.
On the first floor are three further bedrooms, an open-plan lounge with a sofa-bed (providing sleeping for the +two) a bathroom and a shower room.
The large lounge area has a pool table, comfortable seating for 6-7 including a large sofa-bed, LCD TV with freeview. Large curtains can be drawn around the sleeping area when using as a bedroom.
Bedroom three is a super king size room with possibly the best views of all, bedside tables and lamps, chest, dressing table and a combi wardrobe. Bedroom four is a smaller twin with two x 3' single beds, bedside table and lamps built-in wardrobe and a chest. Bedroom five is a small single room with 3' single bed, bedside table and lamp and a built-in wardrobe.
A modern shower room has a quadrant shower cubicle, with electric shower, matching toilet and handbasin with mirror, light and shaver point over. A further bathroom has a coloured suite with bath (no shower) handbasin and toilet.
The property is accessed via a 1/4 mile unmade lane. Outside is a large patio with views and garden furniture. The large garden has several seating areas and is mainly lawn which is steep in places. The property also has a couple of internal steps so may not be suitable for the less able bodied. There are also external steps in an out of the property.
Rental includes bedlinen, towels, electricity, central heating and some logs for the woodburner. One pet is welcome by prior arrangement at £25 per week.
2018 Planned internal changes
- The current twin will remain a twin but the adjacent loo will be blocked off to create an en-suite shower to that bedroom which will also contain a loo and basin.
- The utility room will be upgraded.
- The current blue bathroom will be upgraded with white bath etc. and separate shower.
- The current super king/twin room at the front on the right will remain, as will the adjacent shower room. The seating area beside that room to the right of the stairs will become a double room.
- The twin room to the rear will become an enlarged king sized bed room with an en-suite bathroom with loo and basin replacing the current blue bathroom.
- The single room will be removed.
- There will be a smaller seating area.
This will mean that the house will now comprise:
Ground floor - 1 x king room, 1 x twin with ensuite, 1 x bathroom with bath, shower, loo and basin
First floor - 1 x super king/twin; 1 x double; 1 x king with ensuite. Separate shower with loo and basin.
Total will be sleeps 10 for 2018.
