Chy Lowena

Chy Lowena is a large holiday home which is ready to welcome families and groups for exciting holidays on the Lizard Peninsula. Located at the heart of the village of St Martin, less than 3 miles from Helford. Whilst in a peaceful rural village setting, it's also less than 7 miles from the nearest town of Helston, where there's a range of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and other amenities.

The neighbouring village of Mawgan is home to the popular Ship Inn, great for evening meals, or the Trelowarren Estate which has footpaths to explore and their restaurant is also available throughout the year. Helford village on the picturesque River Helford is nearby, with its thatched cottages and popular pub, the Shipwrights Arms. From here you can walk the South West coast path which goes all the way to the most southerly point at the Lizard and offers some of the most dramatic cliff top scenery in the country. You can also take a water taxi across the Helford River to explore Glendurgan and Trebah gardens. The beaches at Porthallow and Coverack are both easily reachable by car too.

The cottage has a gated driveway with space for two or three cars. Entering through the front door into a roomy hallway, with flagstone flooring, there's a dresser and desk housing games and local information.

Double doors lead into the living room which has two leather sofas, a smart TV, a log fire set within a granite built surround and a dining table with five chairs and long bench for family meals. Another set of double doors open onto the rear patio and garden area.

Opposite the living room, another double doorway opens into the kitchen where the flagstone floor continues. Equipped with an electric oven and hob with extractor over, a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle and two toasters. Also, a table with four chairs and some stools for the central island. Attached to the kitchen is a utility room with further fridge/freezer, a washing machine, tumble dryer and a WC with loo and handbasin. The backdoor also opens onto the rear patio and garden.

From the hallway, stairs lead to the first floor landing with all bedrooms and bathroom off.

The en suite master bedroom features a double bed, compact wardrobe, TV and bedside tables with lamps over. The en suite has a mixer shower, loo, handbasin and heated towel rail.

Bedroom two also has a double bed, a triple wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps and a freestanding mirror. This room has views over the garden and distant rural views. Bedrooms three and four are both twin rooms with a chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp.

The family bathroom has a freestanding bath, separate mixer shower enclosure, loo, handbasin and heated towel rail.

The garden has a wood-chipped area which is set amongst the trees with an outdoor table and chairs, bench seat and a barbecue.

Rental includes: WiFi, central heating and bedlinen. A dog is welcome by prior arrangement at £30 per week.
