Glen View at St Breward, on the fringe of Bodmin Moor is a large first floor, three bedroom apartment with far-reaching rural views towards the North coast, just five miles as the crow flies. On a clear day you can even see the sea twinkling in the distance! Glen View is just a few minutes drive from either the A39 or the A30 making it ideal for exploring all of Cornwall.
The village of St Breward is near the top of The Camel Trail, a beautiful cycle trail on a disused railway line which runs alongside the River Camel and links the towns of Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. For Poldark fans, St Breward provided the setting for the filming of the exterior of Nampara Cottage, home of Ross and Demelza Poldark and their young son, Jeremy, in series two. Also filmed nearby were scenes of the miners’ cottages and members of the cast riding horseback on the moorland.
From the off-road allocated parking space Glen View is entered via the porch and a flight of stairs to the first floor landing. From here all rooms are off and there is a stair guard for youngsters during the night.
The lounge is bright and comfortable with seating for six, large TV/DVD, wood-burner and a small table and chairs in the window from which to enjoy the far-reaching views.
The newly fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven with 4-ring hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, kettle and 4-slice toaster. Dining table with four chairs.
Family bathroom with electric shower over the bath, a toilet and handbasin with mirror over, shaver socket and heated towel rail. There is also another separate toilet with handbasin.
Bedroom one is a large double room with 4'6" double bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, ornamental fireplace, comfy chair and the lovely views from the window.
Bedroom two is a large room with full size 3' twin beds, a chest of drawers, wardrobe and TV/DVD.
Bedroom three is a small single room that enjoys the rural views that stretch out before you from the foot of the bed, with 3' single bed, a chest of drawers and some hooks to provide clothes hanging space.
Outside there is a shared courtyard with clothes dryers for your use and an allocated parking space. Extra parking is available on the road. St Breward has a popular foody pub, The Old Inn, and a general store.
At the bottom of the road you can join the Camel Trail, a disused and resurfaced railway line that provides a recreational route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Rental includes quality bedlinen, towels, WiFi and electricity. Electric panel heaters. Regret no pets and no smoking.
