Fircroft Cottage is a lovely one bedroom ground floor holiday home in a peaceful location just half a mile from Mullion Golf course and Poldhu Beach. Attached to the owners' home but with your own private entrance, conservatory and new patio area (see pictures), this is a very comfortable holiday home from which to explore the delights of this part of Cornwall.
Situated in Cury, just a mile from Mullion, you have beautiful walks from the front door. You can be off across the footpaths for circular walks that take in a good section of the South West Coastal Footpath, the National Trust estate at Penrose and even the Halzephron pub at Gunwalloe which is just over a 2 mile walk. Reduced green fees can be arranged at Mullion Golf Club - the most southerly golf course in mainland UK - which is just down the road. You can enjoy a game of golf while overlooking some of the most breathtaking scenery and beaches. The golf club also has a bar and restaurant that is open to non-members.
Poldhu beach is a beautiful sandy beach and is just half a mile down the road. There is car parking, lifeguards during the summer, a surf school, a cafe open all year and public toilets.
Most of the Lizard Peninsula is reachable within 15 minutes in the car, with Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and Cadgwith all being favourites with walkers, nature lovers and foodies alike.
Inside there is a spacious lounge/diner with underfloor heated ceramic tiles and a large conservatory off. The lounge has comfortable seating with LCD TV with freeview, while a solid oak dining table and chairs provide a formal dining space. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.
A recent, new kitchen is well-equipped with electric cooker with hob and extractor over, microwave and under counter fridge with freezer compartment. The shower room is fully tiled and has a walk-in shower cubicle with mixer shower, matching toilet and handbasin with heated mirror with shaver point over and a heated towel rail.
A few steps lead down into the large bedroom, which has twin hotel style 3' single beds which can convert to a kingsize zip and link bed, bedside tables and lamps, a double wardrobe, large drawer unit with mirror and LCD TV.
Outside is an enclosed private patio area with garden furniture which enjoys the sun throughout the whole day. One off-road private parking space is at the front of the property.
Rental includes bedlinen, electricity, central heating and WiFi, please make us aware if you require twin beds or King-size (bedding for either is included). There is a locked door, sound proofing and a further locked door between the living room and the owners property. One pet will be accepted by prior arrangement at £25 per week. Regret no smoking.
PLEASE NOTE: The washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a separate utility room, which can be accessed through the patio area.
