Heevara Cottage is a large comfortable cottage for up to four guests which has been tastefully furnished to a high standard. Set half way between Church Cove and Lizard village, which has a butchers and general store, pub, cafes and a famous pasty shop. It is also within walking distance of Housel Bay and the most southerly point. Other sandy beaches close by are picturesque Kynance Cove and Kennack Sands. The footpath next to Heevara Cottage leads to the beautiful fishing village of Cadgwith Cove (approx one and a half miles).
Entered from the front porch, where you can glimpse how nearby the sea is, into the open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is quickly obvious, but so is the comfort that the cottage offers. There's a wood burner at the heart of the living space, perfect for that 'real fire warmth' after a day out on the coast paths in the cooler months, otherwise the cottage is centrally heated with a radiator in each room. A two-seat sofa and two chairs provide easy seating and there's a large smart TV mounted above the fireplace.
The kitchen is designed to be discreet so is somewhat hidden at first glance, the fitted units include storage and an integrated dishwasher as well as 'pop-up facilities'. The sink is housed under a sliding cover with a retractable tap and also on the work surface is a 2-ring hob with a pop-up extractor fan, a cupboard houses the fridge and a combination microwave-oven with grill function. For dining, there's a large table with two chairs and a bench seat.
Staircase to first floor with all rooms off a small landing. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps and a large built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has zip & link beds which can be left as a king size (default) or split to make twin beds. This room also has a bedside table with lamp and a side table. Both bedrooms are carpeted and have blinds. Family bathroom with shower over bath, a toilet and handbasin.
Outside is a private small front garden with table and chairs, potted plants and a bench.
Rental includes bedlinen, towels, WiFi and central heating. Parking is usually available on the road just outside the cottage. This property is strictly non-smoking. Regret no pets. Please note that the cottage is attached to the neighbouring cottage, with a locked internal door in the corner of the kitchen, though you do have your own private access and garden.
