Old Coastguard Cottage sleeping 6+2 is a traditional cottage on the edge of The Lizard village with easy access to the pubs, cafes and shops. A short walk takes you the Lizard Lighthouse and most South-westerly Point where you can pick up the coastal footpath for walks to the fishing village of Cadgwith or in the other direction, the beach at Kynance.
The cottage is entered via the porch into the large open-plan living and dining areas each with seating for six persons and each with a large bay window looking out across the garden, the lounge has a TV with Blu-ray/DVD player. The kitchen has been updated with modern fixtures, fittings and appliances such as the Zanussi electric oven with Bosch 4-ring hob as well as a dishwasher, integrated fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. Attached to the kitchen is a utility room with a large fridge/freezer and extra cupboards. A downstairs breakfast room seats four and could also be used for evening meals. Ground floor WC with handbasin.
An open tread staircase takes you to the first floor. The bedrooms at the front of the cottage have panoramic views of Lizard Lighthouse and the sea. Bedroom one has a four poster double bed and large fitted sliding wardrobes, sea views and a TV. Bedroom two also has a double bed with single wardrobe, TV. Bathroom with bath with shower over, toilet and handbasin. A large family bedroom has a double bed and a trundle bed providing the +2 for larger families and a cot for infants; there is also a TV and sea views on either side of the room. The family bedroom has an en suite with a bath, separate electric shower cubicle, toilet and handbasin. Please note that the en suite is accessed by saloon style slatted doors.
The Lizard is a lovely location for exploring with coastal walks, beaches and meals out all on the doorstep of this quaint cottage. Further afield are the villages of Mullion, Coverack and even Porthleven is reachable by a short car journey.
Electricity, bedlinen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included in the rental. Central heating is provided but at pre-set times, these are 8-9am and 6-8pm. Please note that the wood burner is not for guest use but there is an electric fire provided. Pets are accepted by prior arrangement. All of our properties are non-smoking.
