Cove Cottage

Cove Cottage is nestled on a quiet lane within the beautiful Village of Porthallow. Sleeping up to six in two bedrooms, this semi-detached cottage has been tastefully modernised, keeping a cosy living space but with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Equipped with all the essentials and more, there’s a large range cooker, dishwasher, electric heating throughout and WiFi. The beach is a very short level walk and from there the coast path is easily accessed for miles of coastal walking, head toward Coverack Cove and Cadgwith or you can even go all the way to Lizard Point.

The ground floor comprises a living room and separate kitchen diner. The kitchen features wood flooring, lots of storage, large range cooker, built in fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle & toaster and a wooden dining table to seat six. In the comfortable living room there is a large corner sofa and a TV with Freeview. Local walking guides are also provided for your use, please ensure these are left at the property for following guests.

Stairs to the first floor with stair-gates fitted top & bottom. The en suite master bedroom is very roomy with lots of built-in storage, it has a double bed, chest of drawers and bedside tables with wall lamps over. The en suite has a shower, toilet and handbasin with mirror above. From the main bedroom, double doors open onto a large balcony/raised deck area at the side of the cottage which gets the sun most of the day and has an outdoor table and chairs (this is also accessed via the steps at the front).

The second bedroom is a family room with a double bed and bunk beds giving plenty of flexibility to parties of varying size, also with storage and bedside tables with lamps. Family bathroom equipped with shower over bath, toilet and handbasin with light sensor mirror unit.

In the garage you will find the washing machine, tumble drier, rotary line and charcoal BBQ which can be used in the patio area. This space is also great for storing kayaks, SUP boards, wetsuits etc.

Cove Cottage has a patio garden across the lane with another decked area for sitting out but please ensure children are supervised at all times. The garden has a stream running through part of it and the space is surrounded by a low wall only. Parking for one car is directly opposite the cottage, alongside the garden, with additional on-road parking usually available nearby.

Porthallow has an attractive shingle beach. Just up the road is The Fat Apples Cafe, which serves lovely home cooked food during the day. St Keverne is a few minutes’ drive and has a village shop, butchers and further choice of pubs.

Rental includes: bedlinen, towels, WiFi, electricity and parking. Two well-behaved dogs will be accepted by payment of £25 per dog per week at the time of booking, although please note there is no lawn area at the cottage, so dogs must be exercised away from the cottage. Please also refrain from allowing dogs upstairs.
