'Pennti-an-Goelann' is an absolutely delightful little cottage, tucked off the main street in Porthleven. Just a two minute walk to the harbour side, with its fishing boats, cafes, restaurants and galleries. Still a working harbour, you can see the fishermen unload their catch and even purchase fish from the quayside.
Entered into the lounge from the small front courtyard and patio area. The cottage has loads of character with oak wooden floor and a stone inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove for your use. The beamed ceilings throughout the ground floor also add warmth and character. The lounge area enjoys the use of the wood burning stove, a 2 seater sofa, two chairs, tv with DVD player and a shelf with books. The kitchen is very well-equipped with fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric double oven and grill with hob and extractor over. The solid wooden surfaces give a beautiful feeling of quality. Also in the kitchen is a small dining table.
On the first floor are the bedrooms and shower room. Bedroom one has a king-size bed with bedside table and lamps, drawer unit with mirror over and a large built-in double wardrobe. Bedroom two is a twin room with two, 2'6" single beds (slightly narrower than a standard 3' single) bedside table and lamp and hanging space.
The shower room has a shower cubicle with electric shower, matching toilet and handbasin with shaver light over and a heated towel rail.
Outside there is a small sunny patio with garden furniture provided and parking for one car. Heating throughout is by electric radiators.
Rental includes bedlinen, electricity, Wi-Fi, towels and first supply of logs for the fire (more available locally). Parents are advised that there is no banister to the open side of the stairs although there is a handrail running up the wall side.
One well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement at £25 per week. Dogs must not be left in the property and are not allowed on furniture. Please see full Terms and Conditions.
Please be aware that, in certain weather conditions which may affect atmospheric pressures, the television signal may result in the temporary loss of the BBC channel.
