Miner's Cottage

Miner’s Cottage is a spacious and comfortable retreat set in the quiet village of Wheal Rose, just a 10 minute drive from the north coast beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan. Nestled within generous, enclosed grounds bordered by Cornish stone walls and a beautifully restored engine house, the cottage offers an ideal base for families or couples looking to explore the coast and countryside. Nearby Redruth provides all the essentials, including supermarkets, shops, and takeaways, while destinations such as St Agnes, St Ives, and Falmouth are within easy reach.

Inside, you’ll find an open-plan living space designed with sociable holidays in mind. The lounge, kitchen, and dining areas are combined to create a welcoming and homely central space. After a day on the coast, relax with a film on the flat-screen TV and DVD player, or gather for dinner at the spacious dining table.

The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge — along with all the essentials for preparing anything from quick breakfasts to hearty evening meals.

On the ground floor, you’ll also find a comfortable twin bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.

Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. One room offers a king-size bed with plenty of space to unwind, while the other has two single beds — perfect for children or friends sharing. The bathroom is fitted with both a separate shower cubicle and a full-sized bath, offering guests the option of a refreshing shower or a long, relaxing soak.

Outside, the large garden is enclosed and offers ample space for children to play, with the adjoining top field ideal for ball games and running around. A private patio area is furnished with a table, chairs, and a BBQ is available — perfect for relaxed evening meals or soaking up the sun with a morning coffee.

Rental includes WiFi, electricity and heating. Ample parking for two vehicles. A garage at the end of the cottages houses coin-operated laundry facilities. One dog is welcome at £25 per week.

The adjoining Tinner's Cottage, is also available and sleeps six in a very similar arrangement. Please note that the driveway, garage and outdoor spaces are shared with the neighbouring cottage, though each has it's own patio area. The engine house within the grounds is a private residence with it's own garden and parking separate from these cottages.
