Tintagel, North Coast
Tintagel Castle, owned by the National Trust, has a dramatic cliff top location.
The legend of King Arthur plays a large part of the village’s life. The Battle of Camlann, (Arthur’s last battle) is re-enacted every year in August. The Old Post Office is originally a fourteenth century manor house which has recently been restored and is now one of the National Trust’s most attractive small buildings.
The village is within easy driving distance of Boscastle, Bude, Port Isaac, Wadebridge and Padstow.
