Caernarvon Cottages, Lizard village is a semi-detached Cornish cottage with loads of character. Originally built as a farm worker's dwelling of serpentine and cob, with beams and slate salvaged from wrecks, it lies on the Western side of the village a minutes walk from the real ale pub, fish and chip restaurant and bus stop. It is only 10 minutes walk through beautiful countryside to the coastal path and Lizard Head. Kynance Cove is a half hour stroll, most southerly point about 20 minutes. Thick stone walls, exposed beams and a wood burning stove are complemented by a refurbishment which includes central heating and tasteful decoration.
The cottage is entered through the porch and into the lounge area, with comfortable seating for four or five people and a smart TV that has Netflix and Internet radio. At the other end of the room is the dining area with table and chairs for four people. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer.
Also on the ground floor is the fully tiled bathroom with white bathroom suite, electric shower and heated towel rail. There is a lobby area for dumping and drying wet things accessed by a low side door to the lane outside.
Upstairs are the two south facing bedrooms. A double bedroom with 4'6" double bed, bedside tables and lamps, chair and built-in wardrobes. The twin room has two, 3' single beds, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobes.
Outside is a secluded, small sunny rear garden with a patio for the (provided) garden furniture. There is a passage to the back gate with room to store bikes, surfboards etc. To the front is a south facing enclosed lawned garden with a bench. There is parking for one car only, further parking is available on the village green very nearby. This property will accept two dogs by prior arrangement at £25 per week per dog.
Rental includes bedlinen, towels, electricity, use of superfast broadband, central heating and initial supply of logs for the wood burner. No smoking please.
