Bass Cottage

Bass Cottage is nestled in the heart of Lizard village, set around a large courtyard with a central communal garden, just steps from the local shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. The cottage enjoys sea glimpses from upstairs and is only a few hundred metres from Lizard Point and the South West Coast Path. Nearby highlights include the picturesque Kynance Cove, while a short drive will take you to other beauty spots such as The Helford, Kennack Sands, and Cadgwith Cove.

From the reserved parking space, enter the adjacent communal courtyard garden, where the front door opens into the open-plan kitchen and dining area, with glazed double doors leading through to the living room.

The spacious kitchen/diner is well equipped with an electric oven, 4-ring induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. A dining table with six chairs provides plenty of space for family meals. Also on the ground floor is a separate WC with toilet and handbasin.

Light oak and frosted glass doors open into the living room, furnished with two leather sofas, a TV with Freeview, and a flame-effect electric fire for cosy evenings. A heat pump air-conditioning unit helps keep the room comfortable in all seasons. French doors open onto the rear patio garden, where a picnic bench provides a pleasant spot for outdoor meals in warmer weather.

Upstairs are the three bedrooms and family bathroom.

Bedroom one is a king-size room with large wardrobes, dressing table, and bedside tables with lamps. Bedroom two is a double room with built-in wardrobe and bedside tables with lamps. Bedroom three is a bunk room with storage drawers, ideal for children.

All three bedrooms enjoy glimpses of the sea and are fitted with wall-mounted electric panel heaters for added comfort.

The family bathroom includes a bath with shower over, toilet, handbasin, and heated towel rail.

Outside, the patio area catches the morning sun and offers a relaxing place to sit with a coffee before heading out for the day. You’re also just a stone’s throw from some of Lizard village’s popular eateries, including The Top House, The Witchball, Coast Café & Bistro, and Fat Jack’s Café.

Rental includes bed linen, towels, utilities, and WiFi. There is off-road parking for one car. One dog is welcome by prior arrangement at £25 per week.
