Dene House

Dene House is a semi-detached three-bedroom cottage in a prime position on the edge of Lizard village, just a few minutes’ walk from Church Cove, the South West Coast Path, and the village centre. With off-road parking and an enclosed front garden with a sea view, it’s a great choice for families and an excellent base for exploring this dramatic stretch of coastline. Highlights such as Kynance Cove, Housel Bay, and Lizard Point are all within easy reach.

Lizard village provides everything you need for your stay, including cafés, pubs, a general store, ice cream shops, and the ever-popular Ann’s Pasties. If scenic walks are your thing, a public footpath runs past the end of the drive, leading to the picturesque fishing village of Cadgwith Cove, around a two mile walk. You can also reach beauty spots such as Lizard Point and Housel Bay on foot, either through the village or by heading down to Church Cove and following the coast path for stunning views along the way.

Entered from the driveway into a useful utility room, with a shower room off, this is an ideal space for storing boots and coats after a day out. The utility also houses a washing machine. The shower room includes an electric shower, toilet, and handbasin.

The utility leads into the kitchen/dining room, where the kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, 4-ring hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, and toaster. A dining table with six chairs looks out across the garden.

Across the hall is a dual-aspect lounge, bright and welcoming, with a beamed ceiling and ornamental fireplace adding character. Comfortable seating includes two large sofas and an easy chair, and a Smart TV with Freeview makes this a relaxing space to unwind.

Upstairs, a bright and spacious landing with exposed floorboards leads to three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Please note that the stairs are steep, with a handrail on one side.

Bedroom one has a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, a chest of drawers and sea glimpses. Bedrooms two and three both feature full size twin beds, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps, hanging rails, and enjoy a south-facing aspect overlooking the garden.

The family bathroom is large and light, with a bath and shower over, toilet, handbasin, and heated towel rail.

Outside, the enclosed front garden faces south, with a small lawn and shrubs, and a sea view. While the rear garden includes a patio area with seating for six, and a little pond (families with young children, or dogs, should take care).

One large or two small dogs welcome by prior arrangement at £25 per dog per week.

Rental includes bedlinen, towels, utilities, and WiFi. Off-road parking for one car, with further on road parking usually available nearby.
