For a great day out in Cornwall, take a trip to Pendennis Castle in Falmouth. The castle was built by Henry VIII to defend the country against invasion. The castle has seen action in many conflicts and was one of the last royalist strongholds to fall during the English Civil War.

During your time at Pendennis Castle you will witness a Tudor gun deck in action and see how the Guardhouse was equipped during World War I.  This Cornish visitor attraction also boasts an exciting interactive exhibition where you will be able to experience the sights and sounds of a battle and relive an enemy attack on a World War II observation post. This is an award winning visitor attraction in the South West.
