Sennen Cove lies at the western end of Whitesand Bay, close to Land's End on Cornwall's rugged Penwith Peninsula. With a sweeping expanse of golden sand, clear Atlantic water and dramatic coastal scenery, it is one of West Cornwall's best-known beaches.
The bay's exposure to Atlantic swell has made Sennen a long-established surfing destination, with surf schools and equipment hire available locally. The sandy beach stretches north towards Gwynver, providing plenty of space at lower tides, while the small harbour at the southern end of the cove retains its traditional fishing character.
The South West Coast Path passes through Sennen and provides spectacular walking along this exposed coastline. Land's End can be reached on foot to the south, with far-reaching views from the clifftops along the way.
Sennen Cove has cafés, places to eat, toilets and beach facilities, with parking available in and above the village. Combining a magnificent sandy bay with surfing, a historic harbour and some of Cornwall's finest coastal walking, Sennen is a memorable place to experience the far west of Cornwall.
